A name joke is a form of that particular brand of humour so bad that one cannot help rolling hysterically on the floor laughing. Yes, punning. To create a name joke, think of a common name - if you're out to offend, the name of someone you dislike intensely. Say, Cliff. Now, try to create a pun based on this name... well, Cliff is also the word for a type of coastline, so:

ただの贈り物って何？ 贈り物ってタダじゃないの？ コミックの表示はハイテクすぎてできないので解説だけ。 一番上のComic Strip 女性が出て行こうといる時のせりふです 「この日が来るって、何時間も前から警告してきたでしょ」 おかしい話です。 「この日が来るって、何年も前から警告してきたでしょ」 が普通ですよね。 二番目のComic Strip 夫婦の会話ですが、奥さんが 家事を頼む際に、正直に家事に対する 気持ちを言ってくれ、と言ったら 夫の反応が、 「死ぬまで、一度でも家事をするよりゴルフがしたい」 それをきいた奥さん（Ｂｌｏｎｄｉｅ）が 「そんなに正直にイワンでも！」 一番下のComic Strip これはDilbert というＣｏｍｉｃ で Office humor を取り扱っています。 アメリカはもとよより、日本でも 本が出るほど人気があります。 あらゆる仕事が全く出来ない（incompetent） ということで解雇になった社員に対して 社長が、 「仕事の仕方をDilbertに引き継いでいってくれ」 そんな人から引継ぎをされても 困りますよね…… 授業でオンライン英語レッスンの 話をしましたが、Hollyの甥の 近藤さんが始めた学校です。 よかったら、一度のぞいてください。 |
