職業物ジョーク
英語のジョークではある職業のステレオタイプをジョークにしているものが非常に多い。特に多いのは、弁護士「いかにお金のためなら何でもするか。」、政治家「偉そうなことばっかり言って裏では．．」といったものです。

1. What happens to a lawyer who jumps out of a plane at 35,000 feet
without a parachute?

2. “Doctors at a hospital in Brooklyn, New York have gone on strike. Hospital officials say they will find out what the Doctors’ demands are as soon as they can get a pharmacist over there to read the picket signs!” (

3. I went to the store the other day. I was only in there for about five minutes, and when I came out there was a motorcycle cop writing a parking ticket.
So I went up to him and said, ‘Come on buddy, how about giving a guy a break?’
He ignored me and continued writing the ticket. So I called him a stupid idiot. He glared at me and started writing another ticket for having bald tires!

      Then I really got angry at him. He finished the second ticket 
      and put it on the car with the first.     
      Then he started writing a third ticket!
      This went on for about 20 minutes.
      The more I abused him, the more tickets he wrote. I didn’t care.

       My car was parked around the corner.

ステレオタイプ－欧米のジョークでは前提となるステレオタイプ（固定観念）というものが数多くあります。国民性のステレオタイプ、性別によるステレオタイプ、職業によるステレオタイプ、これらはもうアメリカンジョークを読む際の「仮定」となっています。欧米のジョークの世界では金髪女性はバカで、女性は感情的で、男性はビールとセックス以外に興味がないのです。
